Colchagua, the southern area of Rapel Valley, is a fairly warm region, temperate all year round, with a slight sea influence which fosters cooler nights and acts as a temperature moderating factor. The hillside plantations are a typical aspect of Colchagua Valley, which together with a very dense type of soil, contribute in building great expression and personality in a wide spectrum of red grapes, especially Syrah and Merlot.
