Maule Valley

Maule Valley has very diverse climate and soil patterns, and because of a strong influence from both Coastal and Andes Mountains, its land is not heavily irrigated. Therefore, the vines adapt themselves to grow under poor irrigation, encouraging the grapes to build a good and pleasant concentration. In Maule some fine quality Cabernet Sauvignons are produced, which, because of the chilly nights, have a slower ripening period. Therefore, they are balanced and elegant, with fresh red fruit notes. Chardonnay is also one of the prominent varieties from this region.
