Isla Negra wines renew their commitment to the environment.
Several months ago Isla Negra wines started using lightweight bottles for its Reserva and Isla Negra ranges, in order to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs) produced by these products’ manufacturing and shipping.
Since the manufacturing of glass requires extremely high temperatures, hence a lot of energy, its production causes a huge amount of GHGs to be released during the combustion process. Therefore, using less glass helps significantly to reduce the quantity of GHGs. Huge savings are also generated during the transportation by reducing the weight of the load in the containers.
Isla Negra’s new lightweight bottles have the same performance and look of the previous bottles.
