As result of this partnership, Isla Negra wines have obtained CarbonNeutral® delivery status, meaning that the CO2 emissions from the shipping of Isla Negra wines worldwide have been measured and balanced to net zero through high quality Greenhouse Gas Emissions reduction projects.
The mechanism of offsetting is very simple: for every ton of CO2 that Isla Negra wines produce during their transportation, our company invests in one tonne to be reduced by offset projects around the world. Thus, carbon emissions are counterbalanced by carbon savings.
Our offset projects center on technologies focused mainly on renewable energy.
